Suvarnabhumi Airport to the beach: Pattaya in 2 hours for ฿166, Hua Hin in 4 for ฿362
A coach leaves Suvarnabhumi Arrivals Terminal for Pattaya every hour from 06:00 — 17 departures a day, ฿166, and 2 hours end to end. It runs to Jomtien Bus Stop in south Pattaya, and you do not need to travel into Bangkok first. For Hua Hin the same operator runs 13 departures a day, 06:30 to 18:30, ฿362, 4 hours, arriving at the bus stop next to Hua Hin Airport.

The two services, in full
| Route | Departures | Fare | Time | Boards / arrives |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suvarnabhumi → Pattaya | 17 a day, hourly from 06:00 | ฿166 | 2h 00m | Suvarnabhumi Arrivals Terminal → Jomtien Bus Stop |
| Suvarnabhumi → Hua Hin | 13 a day, 06:30–18:30 | ฿362 | 4h 00m | Suvarnabhumi Arrivals Terminal → Hua Hin Bus Stop (next to Hua Hin Airport) |
Both are run by Roong Reuang Coach, and both are a single class — Coach, 36 seats to Pattaya and 23 to Hua Hin. There is no cheaper or more expensive option on either route, which makes the decision simpler than it looks: the only thing to choose is the departure time.
Which terminal inside the airport
The Arrivals Terminal counter, on the arrivals level — not the Suvarnabhumi Airport Bus Terminal. They are different places, and the distinction costs people their bus. The Arrivals counter is where both beach coaches board. The separate Airport Bus Terminal serves long-distance routes east and northeast — Chanthaburi and Trat, three and two departures a day — and is no use for Pattaya or Hua Hin.
Going to Koh Chang or Koh Kood instead
One departure a day to each, and both are bus-plus-ferry rather than a coach to the island. That single daily departure is the constraint worth planning around: if your flight lands after it has gone, the realistic options are a night in Bangkok or Pattaya, or a private transfer. Check the connection before you book the flight, not after.
Landing at Don Mueang instead?
There is no direct beach coach from Don Mueang — not to Pattaya, not to Hua Hin, not to any of them. The booking system sells nothing from Don Mueang to the coast on any date we checked. The two realistic moves are a transfer across to Suvarnabhumi and the hourly coach from its Arrivals Terminal, or a bus into Bangkok and out again from Ekkamai. If you have the choice at booking time, flying into Suvarnabhumi is worth an hour of connection time on its own.
U-Tapao: the closest airport to Koh Samet
One departure a day, 14:50, and it goes to the Koh Samet ferry pier for ฿350. U-Tapao (Rayong–Pattaya airport) also runs to Rayong Bus Terminal for ฿200 in about an hour. It is a single afternoon service on both, so it is only useful if your flight lands before it — worth checking against your arrival time before you count on it.
Why not a taxi or the train
A taxi from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya costs several times the bus fare and is not meaningfully faster outside the middle of the night — the route is motorway for almost all of it and the coach uses the same road. There is no rail link to Pattaya from the airport at all. Hua Hin does have a train, but it leaves from central Bangkok, so you would have to get into the city first; the coach from the arrivals hall is the only single-leg option.
